K-Resin^®ECO resins are a range of thermoplastic styrene-butadiene copolymers (SBC). One of the outstanding characteristics of K-Resin ECO copolymers is their combination of high transparency, brilliance and impact resistance. The good miscibility of K-Resin ECO and polystyrene allows adjustment to the desired toughness, while at the same time reducing material costs. K-Resin ECO can be extruded, thermoformed and injection molded into a variety of high-quality products.

K-Resin ECO is made using renewable feedstock, based on a mass balance process certified by ISCC PLUS. K-Resin ECO is available with a renewable content up to 60%. This results in a carbon footprint reduction of min. 76% compared to fossil-based K-Resin. Several products exhibit neutral to even negative carbon footprints.

K-Resin ECO's feedstock sources, supply chain and production processes have been awarded ISCC PLUS certification and comply with the highest sustainability certification criteria. All of INEOS Styrolution’s bio-attributed products have identical physical and mechanical properties as their fossil-based counterparts, as well as all the same regulatory documents available. Therefore, when switching to INEOS Styrolution’s bio-attributed products, no new material approval processes are required.
