Customer PortalThe Formolene® line offers high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) resins for blow molding, pipe extrusion, film extrusion, injection molding, profile extrusion, sheet extrusion and rotational molding applications.
The Formolene® line offers various melt flow, stiffness, impact, and ductile low temperature resins for blow molding, injection molding, and rotational molding applications. These performance engineered Copolymer PP resins are designed to meet and exceed the requirements set forth by all OEM’s. This line of resins can be easily processed for mechanical performance and appearance as it applies to the transportation market.
Formosa Plastics Corporation utilizes a unique combination of world-class process technologies to produce a wide range of polypropylene resins. Formolene® resins are available in homopolymer, impact copolymer, and random copolymer products, offering a wide range of properties from very stiff and rigid, semi-rigid, flexible with high impact, and high clarity. Many grades come with agency approvals such as FDA or UL, and many have automotive approvals. Formolene® resins offer easy processing, good chemical resistance, and high durability and are used in applications such as caps & closures, furniture, housewares, packaging, toys, automotive, packaging, lawn and garden, and films and fibers.
Formolene® injection molding grades of polypropylene offer the high quality you need and expect for your applications. Their broad and sophisticated portfolio offers a full range of impact copolymers, random copolymers, and homopolymers. The Formolene® impact copolymers provide an outstanding balance of toughness and stiffness, to achieve long-term durability and service life. High melt flow grades provide opportunities for cost savings from improved processing efficiencies and optimized additives formulations provide for processing stability and long-term durability.
Random copolymer grades of Formolene® offer clarity and brightness, easy molding, and excellent organoleptic properties. Homopolymer grades are offered in a full range of melt flows, with a broad range of additive packages including mold release, anti-stat and nucleation. These products offer excellent organoleptic and extractable performance.
Formolene® resins deliver value to every customer. Cycle time improvements come from optimized additive formulations and high melt flow. These benefits provide productivity gains, reduced energy consumption, and reduction of material usage through enhanced polymer properties. Formolene® polypropylene resin offers enhanced appearance, dimensional stability, excellent colorability, and FDA compliance along with high quality and consistency.
