A hard, black thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) in the thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) family. This material has low friction and is especially designed for use as a co-extruded slip-coat layer on weatherseal applications. It can be used as an alternative to spray-on slip-coat systems used in automotive weatherseal applications. This grade of Santoprene™ TPV is shear-dependent and can be processed on conventional thermoplastics equipment for extrusion. It is polyolefin based and recyclable within the manufacturing stream.
