Demurrage Policy

Effective February 2, 2026, Entec Polymers has implemented an updated railcar demurrage policy for (1) railcars shipped directly to customer locations and (2) railcars held by Entec for bulk truck release. These updates support consistent, efficient railcar utilization across our network.

Railcars Shipped Directly to Customer Locations

• Customers receive 60 days of free time from constructive placement.
• Any fees charged by the customer’s designated rail provider are separate from Entec’s policy.
• Beginning on day 61, railcars will incur a $50 per day rail detention charge.
• Rail detention invoices will be issued weekly until the railcar is released back to the railroad.
• If a railcar is not released within 120 days, a $10,000 additional fee will apply.

Railcars Held by Entec for Bulk Truck Release

• Entec will communicate the demurrage start date at order placement.
• All shipments must be completed by the communicated date to avoid charges.
• Railcars remaining beyond that date will incur a $50 per day demurrage charge.
• Demurrage invoices will be issued weekly until all shipments are completed.
• Railcars not released within 120 days from constructive placement incur a $10,000 additional fee.
