General purpose polystyrene (GPPS), also call crystal styrene, is an amorphous polymer produced by polymerizing styrene monomer molecules into long polymer chains. GPPS is known for its high transparency, high stiffness and easy processability. GPPS is commonly processed by injection molding, extrusion and thermoforming into applications such as disposable cutlery, CD and DVD cases, drinkware, low cost housings, sheet, film and foam.
