Polyphenylene Ether + PS (PPE+PS)
Polyphenylene Ether + PS (mPPE), sometimes called modified-PPE, is a copolymer of PPO and polystyrene that offers excellent heat resistance, dimensional stability and mechanical properties. PPE also have low moisture absorption and excellent hydrolysis resistance and can be made flame retardant. PPE + PS is most commonly processed by injection molding, but can also be blow molded, extruded and foamed. Common applications for PPE + PS include components in printers and copiers, electrical connectors and circuit breakers, fluid engineering components, vending machine components, telecommunications, and water softeners.
