Methyl Methacrylate Butadiene Styrene (MMBS) is a copolymer of methyl methacrylate and styrene that is impact modified with butadiene rubber. The resulting MMBS is a highly transparent polymer with high stiffness, good impact performance, low density and excellent processing.
Common applications include paper towel dispensers, point-of-purchase displays, office accessories, toys, drinkware, cosmetic packaging, ink pens, crisper drawers, vacuum cleaner dust cups, and vacuum and steam cleaner components. MMBS is also used in medical applications such as respiratory components, filter housings, urine meters and blood filter canisters.
